Based in Rome, International Civil Service Law provides authoritative counsel on the complex frameworks governing international civil service.  We advise staff on how to protect their rights without the need for formal procedures.  When necessary, we file appeals on behalf of staff members in internal appeals boards and before the UN Dispute Tribunal, the UN Appeals Tribunal and the ILO Administrative Tribunal, as well as other tribunals

Over 20 years of experience in international civil service law

The founder of International Civil Service Law is Charles A. Forrest, III

Mr. Forrest is admitted to practice in Michigan, USA and qualified in England and Wales (non-practising).  He has served in the legal department of IFAD, a UN specialized agency, and as Legal Advisor to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).  Mr. Forrest has acted as the legal advisor to the IFAD Staff Association and was co-chair of the FICSA Standing Committee on Legal Affairs.

Mr. Forrest has assisted staff members with numerous appeals before internal bodies and in the UNAT and ILOAT
